Very stiff underfoot, insulated yet extremely light in weight for a low altitude mountaineering boot, and automatic crampon-compatible, this is truly a “Formula One” boot for mixed climbing and low altitude expeditions. “I don’t know what else to say other than LOWA’s Alpine Ice GTX is the best technical ice climbing boot I’ve ever worn. I figured it would be difficult to improve a lot on the previous model (Latok GTX) but, that’s exactly what LOWA did with this boot.” – LOWA Ambassador Jeff Shapiro
